Edison Harmonic Filtering |
In this tutorial I explain how to use the harmonic filtering function associated with Edison's Equalizer. This can be useful for reducing noise from sustained notes, or removing unwanted notes from a recording.
You can download the violin sample used in this tutorial from this thread in Looptalk.
Have fun!

David Latour Friday Nights Remix Contest |
In my last video I dropped some (not so subtle) references to the 2nd Image-Line remix contest. If subtlety and hints are not your thing, here's the up-front and in your face pitch for the contest...
Download the sample pack from this FL Studio page.
Listen to other entries and upload your remix to the Looptalk contest thread. There are some awesome remixes so far. What can you do?
Contest ends MARCH 31st 2010, so be quick!
Enjoy!
Dragging samples from Edison with a downbeat marker |
If you set a Downbeat Marker before dragging your sample to the Playlist FL Studio will align that marker with the grid.
If the project tempo is the same as the sample then you are all done. If not, just click on the Audio Clip menu (start of the audio clip) and select 'Detect tempo' and select the project tempo to match.
The sample used in this Top Tip is one of the entries in our *** David Latour remix competition ***, open to all registered FL Studio owners, we have cash prizes and iTunes fame to be had for the lucky winner, and cash plus other prizes for the runners up. More details & sample pack on the FL Studio Remix Contest page.
To enter: why not surf on over to this Looptalk thread - Image-Line Remix contest #2! and upload your remix, give it your best shot.
Closes: March 31st 2010
