Taking some time to customize your plugin picker will speed your workflow. If you aren't using the plugin picker we definitely recommend giving it a shot.
We changed the name from Fruity Loops to FL Studio after Kellogg decided people were confusing our product with their breakfast cereal. Eating CD's can be dangerous apparently :)
In late 2004 we rebranded Fruity Loops to FL Studio as you can see from the following Google Trends graph. From the data here it looks like the old name is finally starting to fade. On the other hand it's also clear these things take some time.
So what do you call FL Studio? We have set up a poll in Looptalk, or you can click on the Fruit sticking up above the title.
BTW: You can learn a lot from Google Trends, like Lady GaGa became more popular than a Stick some time in Feburary 2009.
Let's see if she has the stick's enduring popularity...
There seems to be an interesting seasonal trend of increased interest in sticks at the end of the year. Perhaps they make good presents?
PS: Don't even think of comparing FL Studio to a stick, the stick kicks our backside :)
- User interface behaviour improved.
- Problem with library drum patches loading wrong fixed.
- Now offers to load a drumpatch when clicking arrows on drum channels first time.
To see the entire change log view this thead in Looptalk.
Enjoy (again) :)
In this video performance artist & musician Onyx Ashanti performs using Drumaxx controlled by an iPhone (strapped to his right hand):
Onyx is using 'Touch OSC' to link the iPhone's accelerometer modulate various parameters in Drumaxx.
