Tell us about your music and how you got into music?
My Name is Dot Rotten, I am 24 years old from south west london. I am a artist/producer/video director and sound engineer.
I first got into music as a young child my uncle was a producer and had a studio set up at that time it was about samplers he had one and was using an Atari to produce and he always had me in the studio and slowly and surely I'd learn what sounds good by ear. I've been musicaly inspired the majority of my life and had the chance to be around loads of amazing artists, which also helped to develop my skill.
I've been using FL Studio since the old Fruityloops 2 and I've grown with it all the way. I've used other products and production tools but FL is the only one that is not limited to anything but how much your computer can take. So if your computer is super fast your at an advantage the way you can put down ideas is great, and you can now record vocals in it, which is epic and I always learn something new while using it.
It pushes me as a producer, it never fails me, its also a program that helps create success. Over the years I've used different VSTs in the program, never had problems with it I can load files from 5 - 6 years ago no problem, its very reliable.
Tell us about your production environment?
To be fair I dont have much production tools around me. I've had keyboards and hardware in the past but at this moment I just have FL on my laptop.
I use the mouse to key in my beats. Untill I have my new studio setup, this is how I'm using the program and I still get amazing instrumentals out of it.
