Tell us about yourself and how you got into music?

Electronic music caught my attention when I was 14 years old. The beats, the melody, the energy were something I never heard before, specially coming from Colombia where Latin music is priority. While I would listen to tracks I would start getting my own ideas. After having so many ideas floating in my head that’s when I started looking for sound production softwares and that’s when I ran into FL Studio.

Tell us about your track ”Hydra” being on the soundtrack of the hollywood movie ”Wild Card”

I’ve always dreamed about it. One of my projects for the future is to be a movie-scoring composer, and the fact that one my tracks has been taken to the big screen now means a lot to me.

We know you’re on the road quite a lot and have played at so many venues and festivals. What’s a venue or a festival you’ve played that stood out to you the most? Why?

If we talk about festivals I would say Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival Miami were really beautiful for me. In UMF I saw many Colombian flags on the crowd and I felt at home and proud of myself to see where my career has been taking me. Now if we talk about venues I would say Ministry of Sound – London. The fact that I’ve played in such a legendary club for the electronic music scene makes it very memorable. Another great club is Avalon – Hollywood, this club has that ”special” vibe in the air, the crowd is fantastic and such a great sound system.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

I was looking for a software where I would be able to express my musical ideas. When I found FL Studio 4, It was a bit confusing at the beginning and even more without knowing english. After a while I felt more comfortable with it, and I started producing my own amateur tracks. What I love about FL is how easy and effective it is while you’re making music. The software goes right to the point and every version gets better. I’ve been using FL Studio since version 4 and I’ve seen the program evolved from a pretty basic tool to produce music to one of the most recognized DAW in the music industry today.

Tell us about your production environment & toys?

I have my studio at home where I can just wake up, go across the hall and start working on my ideas. My setup is pretty basic, I Have a couple of KRK Rokit 8 connected with the KRK 10s Subwoofer, also a Oxygen 49 MIDI controller, Bluesnow microphone that I use for voice-overs and a Traktor S4 controller where I can practice for my DJ sets before going on tour.
