I am Samuel Gloade (aka 30 Roc). I was born in The Bronx in New York, moved to Atlanta in the 2000s. I got into music early by being in the marching band from middle school on up to high school and even playing for a college while being in high school. After losing my chances of being able to get a band scholarship, I figured since I loved music, I should get into music production.
How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions ?
I started using FL Studio in 2010 … I picked it up one day by being stuck in the house from a winter storm and me and my brother sat down making beats and this was the program we used. At the time the funny part to all this is that we had the demo version so every beat we made we had to literally export out …
FL Studio means a lot to my production because it gives you the chance to be very experimental and that’s what I love about this software, a lot of software out there doesn’t give you that.

Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use
My production environment consists of some good ole hookah and nano leaf lights with Netflix or a basketball game playing or maybe a little bit of NBA 2K or some Call of Duty………..the gear I use is a Alienware laptop a arrow interface and FL Studio 12 and I might bring out the Akai MPC depending on the vibe.
