Ambezza
Ambezza Multi-platinum-selling German producer Ambezza has worked with a wide range of artists, including DaBaby, Tinashe, Young Thug, G-Eazy, Kid Ink, and even Marshmello. However, he is probably most known for his production of Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good” record, which was released in 2020. We recently took the opportunity to get to know the man behind the music, and learn about his experience with FL Studio. Read on! Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. My name is Ambezza, and I am from Mannheim, Germany. I first got into music in 2008 when a high school friend showed me a music production program. I discovered a passion for creating music and honed my skills throughout the years, which led to me taking a leap of faith in 2016 when I started to pursue a career as a producer after I finished a business bachelor’s degree. How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? I started using FL Studio a few years in, mainly because it provided more options and functions when it came to making music compared to the program I was using before. The intuitive interface and wide range of features make it the perfect tool for my creative process. I can easily experiment with different sounds and ideas quickly, and I specifically love to use it for drums. |
Future – Life Is Good ft. Drake (prod. by Ambezza) Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with. I have had the opportunity to work with some great artists like Drake, Future, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne. Even though my main focus is US music, I have always strived for an international and multi-genre approach when it comes to my productions, which has led to me working with artists from the UK, Germany, France, Puerto Rico, and many other countries. I am proud of the work I have accomplished with these artists, but I am always most excited about what’s ahead. As the founder of the production company IVORY SOUND, I am highly interested in developing artists as well. Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use. Most of the time, I work out of my small home studio in Germany, where I use a rather simple setup including a Macbook Pro, FL Studio, UAD Apollo Twin X Interface, Prophet REV2, M-Audio Oxygen49 Midi Keyboard, Yamaha HS7 Speakers, Logitech MX Master 3S mouse. |
