Kuyano
Tell us about yourself & how you got into music? Hey, I’m Kuyano, a German electro house DJ and producer! I have loved and listened to music since I was born. In 2008, I started the project Casa & Nova together with a good friend of mine. We were just two guys who loved to play music in small clubs, exciting the crowd with our skills. Gradually, we became more famous and were touring through Germany. That was the moment when we discovered FL Studio and started to produce our own tracks. We received many chart placements, but our biggest success was an official cover of Phil Collins’ “Another Day in Paradise”, which was nominated for the Hollywood Music Awards for Best Cover. Since the beginning of this year, I started my solo career as Kuyano, because our taste in music has diverged more and more over the years. |
NAEMS & Kuyano – Percasso Tell us about your genre and style of music. I always try to create something new that brings variety to my songs. I’ve changed my songs a lot over the years, but I always try to stay true to my style. I would describe my songs as very powerful, which makes my music very suited for festivals and clubs. How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? I have used FL Studio since day one. I tried a lot of music production programs in the beginning, but nothing has ever gotten me as excited as FL Studio. You have great value with the included plugins and can produce solid music without spending a lot of money on third-party plugins. I also like the modern and colorful design of FL Studio. As a trained graphic artist, it is always a pleasure for me to work with programs that are graphically designed clearly and in a cool way, so you are more motivated to work on your projects. I cannot get anything done with boring and complicated designs. Tell us about your production environment & toys? In 2020, I built my own hybrid mixing & mastering studio. Besides working in the box, I use the following analog gear for mixing & mastering: WES Audio NGBUS Comp, Tube-Tech PE 1C, Dangerous BAX EQ, WES Audio Dione, Dangerous 2 BUS+, Maselec STM 822 and the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter. For monitoring I use the Dangerous Source and my Focal Twin 6 Be. Do you have any links you would like to share? |
