We’re always particularly impressed with young people doing big things with FL Studio, so when we heard about American producer Kyle Stemberger, who already at the age of 21 has produced tracks for the likes of Lil Wayne, Bad Bunny, and Trippie Redd, we were eager to hear more about his background. Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. I taught myself piano by ear, which eventually led to me picking up guitar. After gaining interest in Hip Hop & EDM in middle school, I started researching how people were producing the tracks that I was listening to, eventually downloading FL Studio and learning to produce my own music through online tutorials & practicing on my own.
How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? It was the program I saw most people using. I’ve tried out most DAWs and FL Studio is what I always go to. I can get ideas out quickly and it has everything I need to turn an idea into a completed track.

Jorja Smith – Be Honest (feat. Burna Boy)
Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with. My production is very organic — I incorporate guitar, piano, bass, or some sort of real instrument in almost everything I create. I’ve worked on releases from Lil Baby, Jorja Smith, Trippie Redd, Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, & many others.
Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use. I prefer to keep my home setup super simple. All I really use is my laptop and speakers. I have a couple of guitars I use often, but other than that, I’m doing everything in the box. I use a lot of FL’s native plug-ins, Universal Audio Plug-ins, Arturia, SoundToys, etc… I like to really manipulate the melodic sounds I use and get an entirely different tone than what I started with.
