ENO – MERCEDES (prod. by LIA) Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. Born and raised in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Germany), my roots are in the Ukraine, from where my parents emigrated in the 1970s. At the age of 16, I took my first steps as a rapper and began writing my own lyrics, followed a year later by my first appearances in support of Kool Savas, Method Man, Sido, and other established rap stars. Being surrounded by producers all the time, I started getting interested in music production myself in 2016. How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? At first, I wasn´t really interested in making beats until I saw producers in the studio flipping samples so easily in FL Studio. The whole structure of the DAW made it so easy to learn how to program the drums. It definitely shaped the sound of my productions and influenced my workflow immensely. |
De:Coded Live – Credibil – “Antonym” (prod. by LIA) Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with. I’ve produced for Eno, Dardan, Xatar and Die Orsons, Schwesta Ewa, and Mero. I have my own 50 sqm studio in Ludwigsburg, Germany. I work with FL Studio on a Razer Blade 15 laptop. In my studio, I have Yamaha HS8 monitors, a Prophet Rev-2, Roland Integra and various effect pedals (Chase Bliss, Hologram Microcosm). The mics I use are a Brauner Phantom and a Shure SM7B.
