I’m LilJuMadeDaBeat. I was born and raised in DeSoto, TX. I’ve always been into music. My earliest influence was Michael Jackson. My parents used to always listen to oldies around the house so I picked up on it real young.
How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? One of my best friends Josh put me on to FL Studio in 2008 and I pretty much never looked back. And it’s the only DAW I use so I would say it means a lot. I probably wouldn’t be where I am today if Josh never put me onto FL Studio.
Tell us about your work and some of the artists you worked with? I’ve experienced the most success working with Megan Thee Stallion. Me and her really put in the time to build her sound over the years and it means a lot to me. My first placement was with Gucci Mane in 2013. Since then I’ve worked with pretty much every artist you can think of in Texas. I recently did the intro to 2Chainz latest album. And right now I’m focused on working with the biggest and best as well as finding a new artist to give them their first hit.
Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use? My production environment is anywhere I am for the most part. I have a set of portable speakers. And as long as I have my laptop I can cook up anywhere. But at home I have a little set up with some monitors and my focus rite. But for the most part I just need one of my laptops either my Mac or my MSI depending on how I’m feeling.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us? I’ve been working a long time to get where I’m at and I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.
