Majed – All Around

Tell us about yourself and how you got into music.

My name is Majed Kfoury, but most people online know me as just Majed. I’m a music curator, viral content creator, and producer with a deep love for electronic music—especially bass-heavy genres like EDM and Techno. But before any of the viral videos or livestreams, I was a producer first. I’ve always been drawn to experimental sounds and breaking rules when it comes to structure and energy. I was in the studio every day, crafting wild ideas and pushing myself creatively, but back then, I didn’t have the right platform, and eventually, I burned out.

That’s when I pivoted to content. I started sharing my reactions to songs, just being myself—and it blew up. Millions of people connected with how I felt music, how I celebrated energy, tension, and release. But over time, the creator side reignited the artist in me. I missed the process, the chaos, the control. So now I’m back, fully locked in, producing again—but this time with purpose, a platform, and a global audience ready to listen.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

I started using FL Studio back in 2015 or 2016. I’m originally from Lebanon, and back then, FL Studio was just the smartest investment for me. It was way more affordable than Ableton, and the fact that it came with free lifetime updates was a game-changer. I didn’t come from a background with access to expensive gear or endless resources—so FL Studio gave me everything I needed to dive in and start creating without constantly worrying about paying more down the line.

What I loved from the start was how visual and hands-on it felt. The way patterns, sounds, and automation worked—it just clicked with how I think. Even now, FL Studio is at the core of everything I make. Whether I’m building heavy drops, experimenting with ambient textures, or working on full productions with my team, it’s all happening in FL Studio. It’s not just a DAW to me—it’s where every creative idea turns into reality.

Can Majed Make a Song in 10 Minutes… or Lose $10,000?

Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with.

I’ve worked with all kinds of artists—from underground talents to global acts—and across a wide range of genres. Early on, I did a lot of ghost production, helping artists shape their sound behind the scenes. One of my proudest moments was having a song I worked on win the Serbian Eurovision selection—a full circle moment that reminded me how far music can travel when it’s done right.

I’ve also co-produced full albums, collaborated with artists across Europe and the U.S., and recently started signing and developing artists through my own label, Oury. The work spans from creative direction and sound design all the way to mixing and release planning. I like being involved in the full picture—not just as a producer but as someone who sees the artist’s vision and helps bring it to life.

Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use.

My setup is actually pretty simple—I don’t use a ton of expensive or flashy gear. I’ve got a KeyLab 49 MIDI controller, a Yamaha digital piano that I love for laying out chords, a Shure microphone for clean recordings, and a powerful custom-built PC that can handle heavy sessions without slowing me down.

The rest of my work is all inside the box. I rely heavily on plugins to shape my sound. FL Studio’s native plugins like Fruity Parametric EQ 2Gross Beat, and Fruity Delay 3 are in almost every session. For synths and sound design, I use SerumVitalOmnisphere, and RC-20 for texture. It’s not about how much gear you have—it’s about how well you know how to use it. My focus has always been on being resourceful and creative with what I’ve got.

Majed – I Remixed an 80s Song… It Backfired HARD

What is your top FL Studio tip for up-and-coming producers?

I don’t usually give this one away—one of my secret weapons is using Gross Beat—but not just for the obvious glitch or stutter effects. I use it subtly on ambient layers or textures with custom curves to create movement that’s almost unnoticeable but adds life to the track. Sometimes I’ll even automate the mix level so it fades in and out just enough to create tension or release without anyone realizing what’s happening. It’s like controlled chaos—and it works insanely well for making drops feel more dynamic or transitions more emotional without overproducing.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?

Yeah—just this: no matter where you are in your journey, don’t be afraid to take a break and come back stronger. I started as a producer, burned out, found my voice through content, and now I’m back in the studio with more clarity than ever. Sometimes stepping away isn’t quitting—it’s just part of the path.

Also, don’t box yourself in. Whether you’re building an audience, experimenting with sounds, or trying to find your place in the scene, FL Studio gives you the freedom to explore. Use it to carve your own lane. There’s no one right way to make it—and that’s the most powerful thing about being a producer today.
