PAIX, based in Germany and known for producing and recording on many of the biggest hits in Turkish Hip Hop, has been an FL Studio user from the beginning. His skill playing and recording live instruments and in production have made him a force in the industry, and songs he has worked on have hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube and streaming platforms. We caught up with him recently, and his interesting story and background are below.

Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. I have been making music since I was 13 years old and I started with the Turkish movement. My father, who always supported me, paid for my courses at that time. Now, I can play 6 instruments. Music has always fascinated me and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? In 2013, my father bought me an iMac, which I used to buy FL Studio and start producing. FL Studio is very important to me as it was the first step for me in the music industry. To me, as a newbie, it was the best DAW of all. I looked at all of them and FL Studio was by far the best DAW. |

Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with. Around 2017/2018, I put my focus into Hip Hop. Before that, it was more Turkish stuff. Since I always play my guitars or piano myself, I started receiving frequent requests to record things, and this is how I achieved my biggest success, with the song “Olabilir” by Mero. I was asked to help produce the album and this helped set off my music career. The Saz (Turkish guitar) was recorded by me, and 8 other songs were also produced by me. Due to my live recordings, also artists got in contact with me such as Capo. The artists I work with like that I record the pieces myself and I work quickly.
Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use. I have had my own studio for 2 years: 298 Studios in Stuttgart. I mostly use a USB keyboard and a normal guitar, but I also have other instruments in the studio. I also am frequently in other studios and work in different places regularly.
