Priyanka Meher & Nikhil – Swapnil Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. I’m a Hip Hop artist and producer from Uttar Pradesh, India, and I’ve been creating music for over a decade. My work is rooted in sharing the untold stories of my hometown and showcasing the essence of my state and country on a global platform. Music has always been a part of me – I don’t think I ever had to ‘get into it.’ From a young age, I remember singing and humming instinctively. Professionally, I began pursuing music around 2016/17, drawn to the impact of Mafia Mundeer and inspired by how they were making waves in the world of Hip Hop and rap. How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions? My journey with FL Studio began when I stumbled upon a random YouTube video early in my production days, and it’s been a game-changer ever since. What initially drew me in was its sleek and user-friendly interface, but it’s the powerful features and resources that have kept me loyal to the DAW from the very start. From creating tracks that barely got 100 views to now producing songs with millions of streams, FL Studio has been by my side the entire way, helping bring the ideas in my mind to life and turning them into bangers. |
Panther x Raga – Galat Karam Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with. My music includes two mixtapes: Jungle and Animals Within and Flying Towards the City. The latter has been one of the most critically acclaimed mixtapes in Desi Hip Hop, featuring tracks like Galat Karam, Parinda, and Aisi Jagah Se. This mixtape also features collaborations with prominent Desi Hip Hop artists like Raga, MC Altaf, Sikander Kahlon, etc. In addition to these mixtapes, I’ve also released a number of EPs and several singles, continually expanding my sound and reaching new audiences. Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use. I produce all my music from my home studio, and here’s a look at my setup: Laptop: OMEN 16 Ryzen 9 with AMD Radeon graphics Panther in the Studio What is your top FL Studio tip for up-and-coming producers? There are two tips I’d love to share. The first is to learn the shortcuts – FL Studio has multiple windows and a wide range of features, so mastering the shortcuts will make your workflow smoother and production much faster. The second tip is to get familiar with the default FL Studio plugins. Once you understand their ins and outs, you’ll save yourself a lot of time and space, plus gain access to a lot more functions since they’re built into the software.
