VAMERO

Multi-platinum-selling duo VAMERO, founded by Polish producer Andy Dust and German DJ Vicero, have made their mark, despite only being on the scene for a short time. Their first and biggest release so far, “Rise Up” with VINAI, has garnered hundreds of millions of plays, and they have since gone onto have several successful follow-up releases. They’ve been using FL Studio from the beginning, and we took time to catch up with them recently. Read on!

VAMERO in the Studio

Tell us about yourself and how you got into music.

Each of us started his solo adventure with music production quite a long time ago, but the common idea for the project and the first meeting together in the studio was in 2015 – that’s when we met for the first time and started producing in FL Studio.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

Our production software was FL Studio from the beginning – we love its layout and creating melodies with the mouse — we also think that FL Studio has the best piano roll of all digital audio workstations!

VINAI – Rise Up (feat. Vamero)

Tell us about your work and some of the artists you have worked with.

The first song we released as VAMERO was “Rise Up,” released in 2020 together with the VINAI brothers – it’s currently our most popular song and has opened the door to radio stations around the world. Since then, we’ve collaborated with MOWE, LIZOT, Martin Jensen, and Sam Gray.

Tell us about your production environment and the gear you use.

As for VSTs, we use plug-ins such as Serum, Avenger, or Nexus in every production for creating sounds. When it comes to effects, we use, for example, the built-in Fruity Reeverb – it works great for creating automations.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?

FL STUDIO HAS THE BEST PIANO ROLL EVER – WE WILL NEVER CHANGE THIS SOFTWARE!
