Indivision

Indivision splashed down in 2012 when they were picked up by Beta, Toolroom & Subsphere Records. Recieving play support from DJ’s such as Netsky,High Contrast, London Electricity, Rene LaVice, DJ SS, KG & John B. Their sound is characterized by lush ambient chords, fresh drum sounds and deep warm bass. From dance floors to chill out nights at home, Indivision makes it all. We asked them how they came to use FL Studio and what it means to their sound …

How did you get into music?

It all started at one summer when I had free time, I did not have anything to do, so I downloaded FL Studio and taught myself how to make music, even though I did not have any musical training whatsoever. What I wanted to do was to offer our vision of music and luckly it has been recognized.

Why do you use FL Studio?

It’s so simple to use it! I came out of nowhere without any musical background, without any idea how to make music. I have tried to use other DAW’s, but I haven’t seen any other sequencer which would help me to lay down my ideas so quickly and simply. Furthermore, there’s always to discover new things about FL Studio which are helping to make our production better. FL Studio really has helped to achieve my dreams!

Tell us about your production environment & toys?

I am really one of those new school producers who are using their bedroom as a studio. Also, I’m using only software-based synths and really the standard stuff: NI Massive, ReFX Nexus, LennarDigital Sylenth1.

I use Yamaha HS80M monitors and that’s about really it. Although I colaborate with artists like Cosmic who use a lot of Hardware synths, for instance Virus TI, we get quite an interesting sound together.
