Tell us about how you got into music?
Dillon: Hi! I'm Dillon and I've been writing music since the age of 15 with my guitar.
Kaz: Hello, I'm Mathew but all my friends call me Kaz, and I got into music at the age of 4 with piano.
How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?
Dillon: Mathew introduced me to FL studio when we first met. I was using another DAW at the time but immediately fell in love with FL Studio after I saw how fast you can put a drum groove together. It also has the most beautiful and efficient piano roll I've ever worked with. We both pitched in for a PC for our studio and we knew FL Studio will forever be our DAW of choice!
Kaz: I was actually messing around with a 'game' called MTV's Music Generator 2 on PS2, which in turn got me into digital music production. Not too long after, I heard about a program called FL5, tried it out, and kept liking it with every new patch. I'm glad I still use FL Studio to this day; it's one of the easiest DAWs to work around in and is quite flexible with its impressive 3rd party plugin support.
We love making emotionally driven melodies that take you to another place: a memory, a view into the future, or a beautiful way you view the present.
