Getting started with FL Cloud
New to FL Cloud? Let us walk you through your first steps, from installing a plugin to accessing the sounds library, right inside FL Studio.
First things first – got the latest FL Studio?
Some FL Cloud features require FL Studio 2025. If you're not yet on the latest version, you can update for free.
Finding sounds
The ‘Sounds’ tab in FL Studio is where you search, browse, and download sounds from the FL Cloud Sounds library.
Open the 'Sounds' tab
You access the FL Cloud Sounds library from the ‘Sounds’ tab in FL Studio’s browser sidebar. You might be asked to log in.
Search for sounds
Find sounds with key words and filtering tags or by browsing. Preview them with the play buttons. You can also match the playback tempo to your project by clicking ‘Sync BPM’.
Using sounds
Found a sound you like? Click the + symbol to add it to your personal sounds library, or just drag it directly into your project.
Installing your first plugin
All FL Cloud plans come with at least 10 plugins. You can manage them easily via the new FL Cloud Plugins app, automatically installed together with FL Studio 2025.
Open the ‘FL Cloud Plugins’ app
You can open the app from the ‘Tools’ menu in FL Studio.
Install a plugin
The app lists all the plugins included with your plan. Click ‘Install’ on any plugin that catches your eye!
Open the plugin
FL Studio automatically detects installed FL Cloud plugins. Access them just like FL Studio plugins. For example, via the Plugin Picker or the ‘Plugins’ tab in FL Studio’s browser.
