My Name is Orlando Jahlil Tucker AKA Jahlil Beats. I’m a Grammy Award Winning, Multi Platinum selling writer & record producer. I’m from Chester Pennsylvania. I got into Music around 2000, my Pop bought FL Studio for me and my cousin taught me how to use it. He showed me how to program and sample. From there I became hooked. I made music on the software all day everyday.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

So I started off sampling old records just trying to figure out how to structure my beats. Where to place my kick drum or snare, how to pick the right kick or snare, where to place the right hi hat things like that. Then I gradually started to create my own sound. The Sytrus plugin was my go to.

I’ve Worked with Prince, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Drake, Future, Nas, Travi$ Scott, Migos, Roddy Ricch, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Rick Ross and the list goes on …

Tell us about your production environment & toys?

So my production environment changes all the time. I have my own studio in Philly but most of my work is done at my home studio. But I’ll produce anywhere…The airport, on an airplane, on the road. As long as I have my laptop, headphones and FL STUDIO I can create. I also like to use a M-Audio midi keyboard to explore sound banks with.
