A Skylit Drive

Tell us about yourself and how you got into music?

My Parents appreciation and love for music rubbed off on me at a early age. Had multiple instruments around the house and Music was something I really started getting into around junior high. I remember I got a Basic Starting out Guitar for Christmas and I don’t know what it was but I was drawn to Bass more than guitar. Watching people play it interested me more so I saved up for a Bass and all took off from there.Self taught myself / Learned alot of songs thanks to mxtabs and Started playing in local bands and after dropping a class in high school I ended up taking Piano Intro. I found myself playing more piano and started playing in my current band Playing Keyboard and Bass.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

I started using Fl Studio when it was version 5. MY first use of it was for a huge school project that was required for graduation. I did my research on Recording Technology and basically recorded songs and showed the process and how easy it was becoming for home recording/production. FL studio really helps me translate my ideas to reality without headache and each version just amazes me.

Tell us about your production environment & toys?

My home desktop is my main computer. I actually bought off a friend that builds computers and couldn’t be happier with it. I have a pair of Yamaha monitors with a forte interface. For live/tour I use a macbook pro with a novation midi setup.

Tell us a little about your journey with A Skylit Drive?

I have been touring on and off since 2007 and something I’m really proud of. Been to places I’ve never thought I’ve travel too and seeing people half away across the world sing your bands songs is something else. We are about to head into the studio to start recording our new album and am very excited to get started.
