Tell us about how you got into music ?

I never had any music education, so everything I know today I have learned by myself. Listening to the synth sounds of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis or Kraftwerk, it fascinated me even as a kid, and always wondered how those sounds were created. Later in life I understood that to create electronic music you need expensive studios and synthesizers and effects, but I never thought that one day I would be making my own music on a computer. When discovering trance, it gave me the same feeling of listening to electronic music but with a modern twist and I was instantly hooked.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

Unfortunately I never knew about trackers or midi editors, so I had no idea it was already possible to make music on computers until I discovered FL Studio completely by accident. I wanted to record something so I was searching for “sound recorder” software, and somehow FL Studio popped up. After trying it out, my mind was blown! I was not only able to record, but also make music with ease. This was the software I always dreamed of having and I found it! It is easy to use, and I can get my ideas down extremely quickly when inspiration and creativity strikes.

Tell us about your production environment & toys ?

Although I have a Virus Ti Snow, and a Roland V-Synth XT, I mainly use software only for it’s advantage of portability and ease of use. As strange as it might sound, I use standard computer speakers, a Creative Inspire P380 to create and arrange the music, but my AKG K-271 MkII headphones are used for mixing and mastering.
