Sandro Silva

Tell us about yourself and how you got into music?

So my name is Sandro Silva (full name Shandro Jahangier). I started making music a long time ago, when I was 14, about 10 years ago. Since then It’s a journey, and everything went really fast when top DJ’s started to notice my tracks.

I got signed by labels and I was starting to release tracks when I was 16 years old. My big breaktrough came when I made a track called ‘Epic’ with Quintino that topped global charts and went viral. From there I started touring and did all the major clubs and festivals around the world.

Tell us about your genre and style of music

With my music, I always try to do something new. Every studio session is different, and that keeps it alive for me. My sound changes a lot, but I would describe it as powerful edgy music that has to work in the car but at the same time also in the clubs or festivals.

How did you start using FL Studio & what does it mean to your productions?

So I got into FL Studio, a few years ago. Before that, I worked with Reason for over 8 years. I saw colleague DJ’s working with FL Studio and they showed how me fast and easy it is to work with. From that point, I was sold and I switched to FL studio.

I never regret the switch, as it is so much easier for me to put ideas on the computer, and finish tracks much faster than I did before. I can put much more details and sounds in my tracks, as I never worked with third party plugins before my switch to FL.

Tell us about your production environment & toys?

My studio is very basic, as I love to work in a minimal environment. I have a MacBook Pro where I run bootcamp to use FL Studio. Plus I have a lot of VST plugins and I use Focal SM9 as monitors as my overall reference.
