The Fairlight dominated the hit songs of the 1980's through 1990's and cost about the same as the average house. It's amazing to think that the same money as the Fairlight cost in 1982 converted to 2011 dollars would buy you FL Studio + ultra-fast PC (1000's of times more powerful) AND enough money left over to build a real recording studio to put it all in :)
Hats off to Peter & Fairlight for bringing the CMI back.
